KOV Forum Public Meeting on 2 December
There is a public meeting with Kate Hoey MP on 2 December about the Vauxhall Cross Gyratory and the Gasholder Site organised by the KOV Forum.
Special consultation for KPE residents – Festive Fun and mulled wine!
Berkeley Homes is hosting a further consultation on the Gasholder Site for residents of the Estate on Saturday 5 December in the Community Centre. Everyone welcome. Bring the kids!
Fireworks – and Hallowe’en events
Kennington Park Estate residents are very concerned at the dangerous misuse of fireworks by a handful of youngsters on the Estate and are asking everyone to spread the word about the Firework Code – and to make sure everyone sticks to it! We are also asking local shops to stop selling fireworks to under 18s. It is illegal to sell adult fireworks or sparklers to anyone under 18; and for anyone under 18 to possess adult fireworks in a public place. There is a free fireworks festival and bonfire just up the road in the Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens on Hallowe’en, 31 October, at 6.30 pm. Youth Clubs and Football Sessions
Activities for young people aged 11+ in Kennington Park Community Centre and Henry Fawcett School Astro Turf! Youth Alive Club Mondays and Fridays, 6pm to 8pm, Football Sessions, Wednesdays 6pm to 9pm.
Olive Fest – 7 November in Kennington Park, 11am to 3pm
The newly restored Flower Garden is the location for the Park’s first Olive Fest. Everyone is welcome!
